Ethiopia is not only the cradle of mankind, but it is also the birthplace of coffee, where coffee bushes still grow in the wild. Mohka is named after the most famous of coffee trading ports in Yemen, from which, in the 15th century, almost all of Ethiopia’s ‘landlocked’ coffee was shipped. This ‘landrace’ coffee is grown high in Ethiopia’s Limmu region. It is an extraordinary silky bodied coffee that displays bright, juicy acidity with berry fruit, and chocolate notes. Mokha is the dawn, the first, the Alpha and the Omega of all coffee.
