Mikali is an enticing blend of three majestic coffees, products of highly reputable coffee growing nations,

each separated by vast tracts of

ocean. Each individual coffee

brings to the blend its own unique

set of attributes.  The most dominant

of the three is the Tanzanian, where coffee was originally grown not to brew, but to chew. Haya tribesmen chewed coffee cherries as a stimulant. On the slopes of Kilimanjaro Kent and Bourbon coffees were planted in the late 1900s, but only recently have these high grown coffees come to global prominence. In Swahili the word mikaili means ‘strong’ and the term “Tanzania Mikali” is often used to express national pride. We too, are proud of Mikali, it is a coffee with depth and strength while retaining a syrupy sweetness, a balancing act that is often hard to achieve.
